Hosanna Kindergarten and Preparatory School was established in September 1999; the product of a dream of Mark and Carlene DuHaney.  From modest beginnings with just thirteen (13) students, three (3) teachers and experienced, visionary pioneer principal, Mrs. Linnette Redway - the school emerged rapidly to be one of the leading Preparatory schools in Jamaica.

For the first (5) years, it was operated from 11 Coke Ave, and in 2003 moved to its present location across the street at 9 Coke Ave. Today, the enrolment is at three hundred (300) boys and girls; ages ranging from three (3) years old to twelve (12) years old.

Curricular 

Students are taught using the Ministry of Education Curriculum and are continually assessed both internally and externally (projects, tests, national assessments). There is a strong academic focus with early emphasis on literacy, numeracy and critical thinking.

Student Performance

Students have amassed more than twelve (12) major scholarships for academic excellence over the years. including the coveted Bank of Nova scholarship for highest performing students nationally.

Such as: Integrity, Love, Teamwork, Order, and Respect are continuously instilled at daily devotions, mentorship and modelling. 

Student leadership

Each year a prefect body is selected from among our Gr 6 students from which the Head boy, Head girl and their deputies are chosen. Sub-prefects are selected from among the Gr 5 students. They are role models for students and help in maintaining order and civility.

School Events

Some of which are: Sports Day, Careers Day, Jamaica Day, Annual School Fair, Parents Appreciation Day, and Heritage Day, Food Fair & Concert.

Co-curricular Activities

In keeping with the school's objectives of developing the whole person; students are encouraged to actively participate in at least TWO clubs or societies. Some of which are: Brownies, Cub Scouts, Music/ Speech, Choir, Dance, Football, Science/ Environmental, Spelling Bee, Maths Olympiad, TVJ Quiz, TPDCo Quiz.
